Louiza Calore

Biography

Louiza Calore is a seasoned South African makeup artist with over 30 years of experience in film and television. She has contributed to notable productions such as Ali (2001), Ayanda and the Mechanic (2015), Blood & Water (2022), and King Shaka (2022–2023). In 2016, Calore received the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Award (AMVCA) for Best Makeup Artist for her work on Ayanda and the Mechanic. Beyond makeup artistry, she is expanding her creative pursuits into screenwriting and producing, with projects like They Said, a short film addressing sexual misconduct in schools. Based in Cape Town, she also offers industry readiness courses to aspiring makeup artists.
