Biography

Larry Madowo (born July 14, 1987) is a Kenyan journalist and CNN International Correspondent based in Nairobi. He hosts CNN's African Voices Changemakers and Playmakers series. Previously, he served as BBC's North America Correspondent and Africa Business Editor, launching six syndicated shows across English, French, and Swahili. A Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University, he earned a master's in Business and Economics Journalism. Madowo began his career at KTN, later working with NTV Kenya and CNBC Africa. His reporting spans over 40 countries, covering business, politics, and culture. Recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2020, he's also been named among the 100 Most Influential Africans.
